Sweet Wine Lovers Door County Winery Reviews

With us and wine  it’s the sweeter the better! If you are a sweet Wine lover too you will absolutely love Door County and it’s selection of wineries. Any wine lover will love Door County and it’s wineries. From our various visits to Door County we have  compile our sweet wine lovers Door County Winery reviews.

Door Peninsula Winery

I am starting off with our personal Favorite, Door Peninsula Winery. Door Peninsula has the greatest selection of wines and that includes a ton of sweet options. They even have an ice wine, which are very sweet and generally very expensive dessert wines. Their’s is delicious and at around $40 is a steal compared to an Ice wine’s usual $100 price tag. We always come out of Door Peninsula with several wines we love.

Harbor Ridge Winery

Harbor Ridge Winery shares a site with our favorite Door County attraction, Wisconsin Cheese Masters. You can’t stop at one without hitting up the other. They have a really great sweet grapey wine called Carmen’s Last Dance that I highly recommend trying. They also have chocolate wines which is the only winery in Door County where I saw this and is definitely worth a try.

Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery and Market

Lautenbach’s has a really good selection of sweet fruit based wines. The fruit comes straight out of their Orchards adding to the charm and of course the great flavors. Lautenbach’s is a fun place to stop besides the wine tasting with a large market shop and activities outside in their orchard such as fruit picking and cherry pit spitting.

Door 44 Winery

Door 44 , while on the same site of a cheesy country store has a more upscale vibe to it than the others. They have won quite a few awards for their wines and charge you for the tastings. You get a cute souvenir glass to take home with your tasting. I was not overly keen on their sweet wines and suspect that they are a better fit for those who prefer dry whites or reds. Still worth a stop in to decide for yourself. Why turn down a wine tasting after all.
